Warsaw 2022 – Departure

Five days we’ve been at our excursion in Warsaw and at the 13th of May we left Poland. We’d like to give you a little overview, of what we’ve experienced.

At our first day, as we arrived in Warsaw, we’ve got a short overview over Warsaw, especially the parks nearby, the University and the old town. On day two we had a detailed guided tour through Warsaw, where we’ve learned, that there is no polish history without jewish history and reversed. At lunch, we’ve explored a Milkbar and visited the Biblioteka Publiczna. At the third day, the common project with the polish students about FakeNews began and we’ve visited the University Library. Yesterday on our fourth day at Warsaw, we’ve visited the Museum of History of polish Jews and had some free time at the afternoon, before our polish hosts welcomed us to a farewell party.

Our highlights were the detailed guided tour at our second day here. Warsaw is a really beautiful city with all these rebuilded oldfashioned houses, just next to the gigantic skyscrapers. There also so many sculptures and monuments nearly everywhere, so there is still much to discover. Speak of discover, another of our highlights has been the Biblioteka Publiczna. They’ve implemented the concept of the Library for the customers as a meeting point so good and impressively. For example the flexible creative desk, the repair station and the workshop area, where we’ve seen the actual projects with kinex-material. The third of our highlights where the University Library with the sublime design and the impressive garden around the building and even on the roof.

Next week the polish students will visit Hannover. We hope to be such good hosts, as they where for us.

Now it’s time to say goodbye / do widzenia.
